Daya Learners School of Driver training was established in the year of 1966 in Colombo. Founder Chairperson M/s Daya Rupasinghe ,She began her driving at the younger age,When she was schooling from her fathers car. Later on in the year 1964 she went for her driving test by driving a Bus and wen on to the record books as the first woman HEAVY VEHICLE Licence holder in Sri lanka. And not only that mortor cycle as well.Having the passion to train driving ,She mastered the method of driver training. She became a very popular driving instructor in Colombo ,And later on with continious encouragement from growing number of pupils ,Daya decided to venture out on her own and set up DAYA LEARNERS in Colombo on the 16th September 1966.Within another 2 years ,’DAYA LEARNERS’ was moved to a larger office on Galle road Bambalapitiya ,Colombo 4.

In the year 1984 M/S Daya Rupasinghe was invitrd for the Driving Instructors Association worls Conference hel Wembley United Kingdom.She gained insight in to the globally recodnized HENDON METHOD of driving control.Then she went on growing her businessa and became the first Female Driving instructress in Sri lanka.
